Superbowl XLIII brought a lot of exciting events to the Tampa Bay area, one of which was the 15th Annual EA Madden Bowl XV 2009, where pro football players challenged each other in EA's Madden NFL 09 Xbox 360 game for the coveted Madden silver trophy and bragging rights.
This year's event was held at the Honey Pot in Tampa, and was hosted by NFL LIVE host, Trey Wingo.
Some of the players (current, upcoming and former) and celebrities spotted at the event were: Derrick Brooks (Bucs), Terrel Owens (Cowboys), Donovan McNabb (Eagles), Darren McFadden (Raiders), Antonio Pierce (Giants), Ray Lewis (Ravens), Chad Johnson (Bengals), Brandon Jacobs (Giants), Myron Rolle (FL State Seminoles), Tony Gonzalez (KC Chiefs), Shannon Sharpe (Broncos), Eric Dickerson (Falcons), Drew Rosenhaus (NFL Agent), and boxing great, Evander Holyfield.
EA competing players: DeMarcus Ware (Cowboys), Willie Parker (Steelers), Maurice Jones-Drew (Jaguars), Justin Tuck (Giants), Edgerrin James (Cardinals), Mark Sanchez (USC Trojans) Antonio Gates (Chargers), Matt Stafford (2009 NFL Draft Prospect), and Antonio Bryant (Bucs). AND THE WINNER IS.... Bryant, beating Tuck with 13 seconds left!
